Target Audience

This activity is designed for physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals in New Jersey who are involved in the care of persons with Public Health Emergencies.

Statement of Need

A variety of networks and collaborations have been initiated to develop training courses and improve public health, laboratory, and health care infrastructure after September 11th. However numerous needs assessments indicate that most health care professionals surveyed in NJ feel unprepared to meet their patients care needs and are unaware of what and to whom to report if a threat occurs, nor do they feel integrated into a response team network. There is a high perceived need in the following areas: Chemical, Radiological and Nuclear.

METHOD OF INSTRUCTION

Participants should read the learning objectives and review the activity in its entirety. After reviewing the material, complete the self-assessment test consisting of a series of multiple-choice and True/ False questions.

Upon completing this activity as designed and achieving a passing score of 70% or more on the self-assessment test, participants will receive a printable credit letter. Estimated time to complete this activity as designed is 3 hours.
